I feel very lucky to be fit and healthy. Many people are not so lucky. I have been privileged to work with many clients who have recovered or are still battling cancer. On a much more personal level I lost my Dad to breast cancer a few years ago and know first hand how hard that fight is not just for the person themselves but for their loved ones.
As part of my karma yoga practice I have commited to raising money for charities that support the fight against this dreadful disease.
I feel very proud that my family, friends and generous clients have supported my fundraising and together we have raised over £3,000 so far ( as of Sept 2020). So far we have participated in:-
Race for Life
Held free Yoga classes
Firewalk ( it was hot and you do feel it!!)
Moonwalk twice ( a 26 mile walk at night wearing decorated bras!!)
Held an Afternoon tea as part of Macmillan Summer Lights appeal
5K Colour Run
Open Air Yoga Classes at Eaton Vale Activity Centre to raise funds for Finnbar's Force.
Rays of Sunshine Playful Yoga Classes (Balloons and cake afterwards!!)
My daughter has now joined the fundraising team and raised money (and donated hair) to The Princess Trust which provides wigs for children with traumatic hair loss.
